Cytech Technical Skills Upgraded

Bicycles on stands in a workshop

One of the key elements for any professional is to make sure your skills are continually developing.

So I have recently completed my Cytech Technical Three training. As they say on their website:

“Cytech technical three is designed for advanced cycle mechanics with strong technical knowledge and experience working on high-end bicycles and equipment. Cytech technical three is the highest attainable qualification in professional cycle maintenance in the UK.”

So some very intense but enjoyable days spent at ATG Training in Aylesbury ensuring that my skills with Hydraulics (brakes), Suspension, Advanced wheel building and Electronic gear systems are up-to-date and that I now have the professional accreditation to support them.

I had a great time fitting a complete Shimano XTR Di2 Groupset then setting it up and tuning it via a laptop…

and taking rear shocks apart, servicing them and most importantly putting them back together again.
